Who is the Scholarship Fund for?
This fund enables Conquered By Love to meet needs of families who are in crisis. The fund was established primarily to facilitate the support of traumatized children by coming alongside adoptive parents and giving those parents the tools to help their children heal and unify their families. Scholarships are given to families who apply to CBL Parenting Institute’s Full Parent Coaching Program and who meet the criteria for the scholarship. Applications are reviewed and decisions are made on a case by case basis.
What does the Scholarship Fund do?
The Scholarship Fund allows a family in crisis to participate in CBL Parenting Institute’s Full Parent Coaching Program. In this program a CBL Parent Coach comes alongside the parents, working with them for a twelve month period.
What does a CBL Parent Coach do for parents of traumatized children?
A CBL Parent Coach provides critical support for the parents, helping them to love someone who cannot love them back, standing with them through the onslaught of anger and rejection that comes when working with someone who has been traumatized, and giving them tools to apply healing balms to their children. This type of parenting is a deep, in the trenches type of work, and is eased by close and constant care and support of a CBL Parent Coach. The typical process for healing of a child that has been through trauma is a three year process. The most crucial period is the first year and the coaching provides for assistance during that crucial period.
What is the Basis for the Coaching?
All of CBL Parenting Institute’s Parent Coaching is grounded in scripture. CBL Parenting Institute operates under the principle that God is the ultimate healer and we as coaches are unable to bring about any healing or strengthening of families of our own power. We are totally dependent upon God’s grace in our work. His faithfulness is our support and we are encouraged to be used of him in the mentoring of his children. We are constantly witnessing miracles in families and are blessed to be part of this work.
What is the cost of the program for Families in Crisis?
The cost to CBL Parenting Institute for running the Full Parent Coaching Program is $12,000.
